The Almost Release New Song "I'm Down"

The Almost have premiered the lyric video for their propulsive first single “I’m Down.” Watch the clip here: http://www.fearinsideourbones.com. The Almost--Aaron Gillespie (lead vocalist/lyrics/guitar), Jay Vilardi (guitars), Dusty Redmon (guitars), Jon Thompson (bass) and Joe Musten (drums)--will release their third album Fear Inside Our Bones Tuesday, June 11 via Tooth & Nail/RED Distribution, RED will handle distribution and radio promotion for Fear Inside Our Bones. The propulsive first single “I’m Down” will hit Alternative and Rock radio starting June 5.

As The Almost prepare to release their third album Fear Inside Our Bones on June 11, the group has announced they’ll kick-off a U.S. headlining tour on June 6. The month-long trek, which includes stops in Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles and more, The Almost has partnered with GIGG.com to launch “The Almost Tournament” which allows local musicians the chance to open up for the band every night on the tour. Starting today, musicians in each city can upload performance videos directly via the Gigg.com platform according to the deadlines listed: http://gigg.com/tournaments/The_Almost. Fans can vote to select each winning act and all winners will be notified one week in advance of their performance date. The acclaimed rock group The Almost has announced their third album Fear Inside Our Bones will now be released Tuesday, June 11th via Tooth & Nail. Tooth and Nail has entered into a new distribution deal with RED Distribution, Sony Music Entertainment’s award-winning independent distribution company. Under the agreement, RED will now handle distribution for all future Tooth & Nail and Solid State releases.

The band--AARON GILLESPIE (lead vocalist/lyrics/guitar), JAY VILARDI (guitars), DUSTY REDMON (guitars), JON THOMPSON (bass) and JOE MUSTEN (drums)--has also revealed the album cover artwork and track listing for Fear Inside Our Bones. Check it out here!

To record Fear Inside Our Bones, The Almost retreated to Nashville’s Omni Studios with producer Marshall Altman (Tom Morello, Ingrid Michaelson, William Fitzsimmons). All the songs were recorded together in a single room, completely live. “It wasn’t a piecemeal process as the majority of modern records are,” explains Gillespie. “The album was born at that moment from our collective blood, sweat and tears.” In those five days, the musicians tapped into elegantly visceral energy built from a blues-rock vibe that they modernized. Other album highlights include the relentless rocker “Fight Song,” the powerful and complicated anthem “I Won’t Let Go,” and “I’m Down” which streams ahead like a Southern freight train before the singer soulfully proclaims in the chorus, “Don’t count me out.”

The Almost -- the acclaimed rock group have announced their third album Fear Inside Our Bones will now be released June 2013 via Tooth & Nail. The news comes just as the beloved Seattle-based record label-previously in partnership with EMI/Universal—has just announced their move back to being an independent label. Tooth & Nail records president Brandon Ebel states, “The Almost is one of our first releases following the announcement of our opportunity to be a truly independent label again. In light of this, we are moving the release of Fear Inside Our Bones to ensure it has all the focus it deserves. We look forward to all the fans getting the chance to hear this awesome album and hope they understand our position re the delay so we can best serve The Almost and the fans.”

On Saturday, January 19, The Almost hit New York City for two shows. They’ll appear at the Apple store in SoHo at 3:00pm for a moderated discussion, a live fan Q&A, and to perform an acoustic set. The acoustic performance will feature songs from their first two albums, Southern Weather and Monster, Monster as well as their new song, “Ghost,” off the forthcoming Fear Inside Our Bones. The Almost will release "Monster Monster" Deluxe Edition and "Monster Monster" EP on October 25th.

The "Monster Monster" Deluxe Edition will be available online digitally only and will feature all 12 songs on the original "Monster Monster" album released in 2009, as well as five additional songs and four music videos. For a full tracklisting, check out the album page.
