Welcome Anchor & Braille To The Tooth & Nail Family!
We're excited to welcome Anchor & Braille to the Tooth & Nail Family! Their new album will be called "The Quiet Life" and is available in stores and online July 31st!
Anchor & Braille was formed by Stephen Christian, frontman for rock band Anberlin, as a solo project in 2008. "The Quiet Life" was written over the past three years and reflects the experiences of life as a nomadic musician and draws influence from the music Christian was personally listening to during the process.
The album was recorded earlier this year in Peptalk Studio in Nashville and draws upon electronic elements, complex layers and lush orchestral arrangements. Co-produced and engineered by keyboardist Kevin Dailey of the band Civil Twilight and Anchor & Braille guitarist Micah Tawlks, the album builds on the demos Christian has been working on for years. Though Christian has referred to the disc as a “patchwork record” for his sporadic process, "The Quiet Life" is a carefully constructed work demonstrating Christian’s own love for music as well as his ability to draw from his surroundings and influences to create a unique, thoughtfully crafted musical work all his own.
In support of the album, Anchor & Braille will hit the road this summer beginning July 21st at the Evening Muse in Charlotte, NC and touring through August with stops in Philly, Washington and New York City amongst others. More dates will be announced shortly and you can get all the dates, details and tickets at the band's website.
